Medium natural and messy style for African American women

The natural bounce and springiness of African-American hair is allowed to shine through in this casual women's hairstyle. Medium-length black hair is rubbed through with styling product, then blow-dried with the fingers, allowing the waves and curls to come yet, yet still be shiny. A brush is then used to gather hair off the face, but not used to pull completely through the strands. The roots are set to stay off the face, and then held in place with pins at the side of the head. A barely-there, off-center part helps attain that casual look. The rest of the strands are allowed to fall to the shoulders in a light mass of curls.
