Back in the 1970s, hair was worn a lot longer on both women and men alike. Often a young mans hairstyle was worn just past his ears and jaw bone. The feathered look was all the rage for women and hairstyles overall had a simpler natural look than the previous eras and the ones to follow. Funky looks were popular but hairstyles weren’t as high maintenance as they’d become in the 1980s. Flirty bobs, natural afro’s, headbands, tapered sideburns and messy medium length hairstyles were very 1970s hairstyles that are still worn more than 30 years later.
