The 1960’s was a time of statement making bouffant hairstyles. All lengths of hair had particular styles and they were much more high maintenance than the decade to follow. Curls were extremely popular and whether straight or curly, a woman’s hair always appeared to have voluminous waves. Both Twiggy and Vidal Sassoon had profound impacts on short hairstyles and were in many ways the two major influences that broke the mold of the typical bouffant look the 60's were renowned for.
