WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT CAROLS DAUGHTER

I’m the type of person who doesn’t buy a lot of things but when I find something I love, I buy a lot of IT. I’ve been known to have several pairs of the same jeans because when you find a hot pair that make your butt look out of this world, it’s worth getting at least 2 pairs. This said I recently tried a product I’d heard about for years before I actually laid my hands on it: Carol’s Daughter; specifically the Hair Milk, Tui and Khoret Amen hair line. Alright so you may be many steps ahead of me on that one but let’s just say since I’ve tried it, I can’t stop telling people about it.

There are several Carol’s Daughter products I fell in love with. Before I actually used them however, I Googled some past reviews to see if what was said was in accordance with my own personal experience. For the most part, everything was positive although there were some comments about the odor. What I’ve discovered over my many years as a product maniac, is that everyone’s body reacts differently and what smells good in a bottle might not always smell great on ones skin or hair; of course the same can be said the other way around.

My findings: I’ll admit that both the Tui and Khoret Amen hair line scents reminded me of ‘earth’ or nature and weren’t exactly the ‘traditional’ fruity, nutty, cocoa buttery smells one may be accustomed to in a hair care line but while both products are a tad on the strong side initially, that’s the operative word, initially! After the first 30 minutes or so, the smell not only simmered down, it smelt really good but again, many skin and hair products are an acquired taste so you’ll have to smell it for yourself to see how it fairs on you. Carol’s Daughter Khoret Amen bursts with flavors of bay leaf, lavender flowers, ylang-ylang, sage, clary sage, patchouli, blue malva, and cedarwood. These scents combined did a little number on my boyfriend who absolutely loved it to the point of becoming frisky so be forewarned of roaming hands when using this product. The Khoret Amen Hair oil and Hair Smoothie left my hair feeling soft as ever, and super easy to run my fingers through; be prepared to spend either $10.00 or $22.00 for the oil and $19.00 for the smoothie. A pretty fair price for a multipurpose product: hair care and an aphrodisiac!

Tui Hair products do wonders for the hair also.

I personally enjoy the scent of them all, but my favorite is the Hair Milk. I firmly believe this will become a regular staple in your hair care purchases once you discover it. It’s light-ish on the nose, in the hair and while it’s not as heavy as the Tui and Khoret Amen products, it still lends enough weight to each strand so they stay tame. You can free yourself of frizzy fly-a-ways when you want straighter styles and if your hair is curly, just apply to damp hair and let it dry naturally. For children this is absolutely perfect at keeping their hair under control and they’ll smell great too. If you don’t want to put the product on your entire head, simply apply to the ends and this will further prevent split ends or hair damage. Cost: from $12.00 - $18.00 USD and very much worth the money.
Carol’s Daughter products can be found at various locations in North America including Sephora;or you can go to www.carolsdaughter.com or call them directly at (877) 540-2101 Monday –Friday from 9am -8 pm EST.
