Based in London, England, Hairstylist Patrick Cameron is lucky enough for his work to take him all over the world. His 28 years of experience are evident as he brings something refreshing and unique to the industry. Patrick not only gets better with time, but offers great words of advice for those of us who could use some professional knowledge before we hit the salon for our next cut or attempt something new with ourselves.

Q: What's the one hair care tool you simply can't live without?
A. My Patrick Cameron long hair brush, this is a small bush designed to work with long hair which is my specialty

Q: Would you share with us a few your best hair tips or insider secrets?
A. For doing long hair up do's use Patrick Cameron Hair Pads to bulk out the hair for extra shape and fullness this replaces the need to back comb the hair and will give any up do the wow factor of bigger hair that’s so trendy at the moment.

Q: What are the biggest hair care don’ts?
A. Don't use your straightening Irons every day , your hair can't stand it .
If you’re looking at a big hair care don't then you need to go to the cause of some of the problems, and straighteners cause problems with general Long hair condition.

Q: What hair care products / brands are you in love with at the moment?
A. The New Wella System Professional Hair Care Treatment Range it’s amazing and can be designed to suit all hair types

Q: How can someone tame crazy frizzy hair and still keep their curls?
A. As a curly head person I find that many hairdressers don't really understand curly hair, in fact I would go as far to say a lot of curly haired people don't understand their own hair.  The thing to remember is curly hair is very de-moisturised hair so you need to start with a great shampoo and conditioner ( Wella SP range is a great start)

When preparing your hair before drying, place through the hair (mid-lengths to ends) a hair moisturising conditioning cream "Wella SP power mask or hydro mask" my tip is to leave it in then using Wella SP super mousse through the hair for hold.  Diffuser dry the hair, the moisture of the masks will help tame the frizz from your hair.....repeat process each morning by dampening down the hair with water and re-applying a little more product each day.  Curly hair should be washed about 2 times a week NOT every day.
