Yesterday I received a sample to try and had no idea who it was from until I opened the box. I was immediately hit with the scent of a product that had clearly sprayed itself out of the container in transit. Ohhh...that scent-that distinctive scent. I can say the following with the utmost confidence; I have yet to smell a hair product scent like that of OJON! In this box lay one of their newer hair products optimal for thinning, fine, weak and dry or damaged hair: SWA Instant Hold Hairspray. I hate being gullible but with every past experience I’ve had with Ojon, their claims have been true. None the less, I wore my hair up in a loose ponytail, poofed up in the bangs with a few strands hanging off the sides. My usual L’Oreal Elnett was cast to the side and I delved into Ojon curious to see if it wouldn’t let me down. The results were fantastic. The description of SWA is 100% accurate. And I quote “The lightweight formula provides strong hold without feeling crunchy or stiff, while exotic oils such as Ojon, Babassu, Jojoba, Crambe Seed and Macadamia add natural shine but don’t weight hair down.” That was exactly my experience. Depending on the intensity of activity, I might opt for a stronger hold but for day time casual use or an evening out with friends sans hard core head banging, it’s a perfect first choice.
My small poofy bangs stayed put till evening but more importantly, my hair was still movable. I SO HATED the 80’s hair-sprayed stiff look. It also felt good to use knowing it was actually helping my hair, not hurting it. Rich in amino acids, omega-3 and 6 essential fatty acids, SWA is moisturizing to the hair, not drying like other hairsprays. They shouldn’t call this a hairspray in fact, it's more like a hair conditioner. The only downside of this amazing find is that it's not made into a perfumed body spray! If you’ve got the Shopping Channel, you’re in luck! As of October 2009, you can find it there for $29.00 CDN.
